Next Gen Personal Finance
Director of Educational Outreach

Yanely Espinal is the Director of Educational Outreach at Next Gen Personal Finance (NGPF), a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring all high school students receive a full semester of personal finance education. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, to Dominican immigrant parents, she is among the first in her family to graduate from college. Yanely earned her bachelor's degree from Brown University in 2011, later joining Teach For America to teach third and fourth grades in Brooklyn. She went on to earn her master's degree from Relay Graduate School of Education in 2013.

Recognizing a lack of financial literacy education, Yanely launched her YouTube channel, "MissBeHelpful," to provide accessible guidance on budgeting, credit management, and investing. Her relatable and engaging style has made her a sought-after speaker, delivering keynotes at events such as CNBC's Youth Virtual Summit and Brown University's "Life After Brown" Conference.

At NGPF, Yanely focuses on expanding financial education opportunities nationwide, championing financial literacy as a critical social justice issue. She also serves on CNBC's Financial Wellness Advisory Council, contributing her expertise to broader financial education initiatives.
